Uses either AC, (4) AAA batteries or USB Computer Connection for power. Unit is well protected in a rubberized sure grip frame. Unit is LED based for long life and will not yellow. Back-lit display provides standardized illumination which illuminates over any reflections. No need to bring over a lamp for the patent to read the cards.
